Almost Santa time!

Sooo I'm like a long way behind but oh well, life is busy. Madison had her two month appt yesterday. She was 9.15lbs and 22 inches long. I don't agree on the length because she is longer than that, her clothes are getting small because of her length. Anyways- she also got her two month vaccines. She was great during them and afterwards but once we got home she was pretty cranky. She ended up sleeping well last night which I was worried about.
So I'm getting sooo excited about Christmas! I know she won't have a clue what is going on, but we will. EEK!!! I'm also so glad that we don't have a lot of running around to do on Christmas day/Eve. I really dread next year with a toddler and dragging her all over the place.

Happy Hump Day!

All gifts are wrapped and under the tree. Yahoo! Baby girl is snoozing for the moment so I thought I'd play online :)
Sounds like we're supposed to get a bunch of snow/ice so I'm kind of hoping that my work is closed tomorrow so I can stay home with the little one! Saturday starts the crazy holiday-days for us. Non-stop weekends until after the first of the year.
Having a small breakdown because we moved Madison's diapers up to a size 1, and slowly getting her to eat from a regular flow nipple on her bottles. Boo :(

Catch up time!!

For my one follower: I am so sorry I am behind. :) To catch everyone (Tristan) up: Last Thursday I came down with the stomach bug going around so I had to come home early and then Friday ended up having to call in because I was still sick. Thank God I got over it Friday afternoon. Saturday the hubs and I had a "date." We went to the Louisville basketball game and then we had our normal play at Actors Theatre in Louisville. Afterwards we picked up the little booger butt and headed to Ruby Tuesdays for dinner. I had my first alcoholic drink since Feb of this year it was very tasty lol
Enjoyed my TV last night. I love Monday night shows on CBS. Especially Mike & Molly. It kills me!!

December 6th BOO to Mondays!

Welp, today SUCKED! It was my offical first day back to work for a full day. I know she is in good hands but it was so hard leaving her. I hope it gets easier but I don't see that happening anytime soon.
I think I've finally figured out what I'm getting the hubs for Christmas. He is so stinkin hard to buy for.
Well, we're going to sit and enjoy the "Sing-Off" and then hit the sack.

What a day...

First, the best news- Madison smiled for the first time on Dec 2nd. She still will do it sometimes but you have to play with her mouth to really get her going good.
Okay- now yesterday wore.me.out. We had family pics with Chris' Mom's family at 3:30pm. That was an ordeal. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but it still seemed to take forever! Then afterwards we were going to eat at Cheddars, well they were packed and with our large group it was going to take forever. So, they decided on Golden Corral. (puke) I don't like the place at all but I wasn't about it say anything. Then we finally headed home. I was so tired. But then of course Little Miss decided she didn't want to go to bed until 5am this morning! Whoa! Then she only slept until 6:30 because she got hungry, slept till 9:30, got up ate, then got back up again at noon. So needless to say, tomorrow could be a long day at work for sure.
We did get a beautiful snow over the weekend, which I normally love but lugging a baby around made it not so enjoyable because I felt bad for her worried that she was cold.

Back to work & 6 weeks old already?

Well that time is almost here for me to return to work. Big fat HISS to this. My first day back is this Friday Dec 3rd. Madison is going to be staying with her Grandma that day because I will be getting off work early due to our company Christmas party.
I'm not as stressed out as I thought I would be when this time came. I'm comfortable with who she'll be staying with daycare wise, my job is for the most part low-stress BUT my biggest stress comes from when I'll get home and I'll have a baby, husband and house to take care of. Now, I am VERY blessed and lucky when it comes to my husband. Chris cooks dinner almost every night and will help out with anything I need. But I still have this feeling that after working all day, taking care of things at home, I'll be ready for bed by 9pm but I doubt Madison will be up for this. And of course I'm sure I'll have to get up at least once a night to feed her. But Chris said we'd take turns on nights to wake up if I needed the break. *love* He's amazing.
I cannot believe my baby girl is already 6 weeks old (well, tomorrow). Tonight is bath night, which she loves. I really think she'll be a water kid if things stay the way they are :)
Oh and we're getting family photos taken on Saturday!

First day.

Okay so I'm giving in to the blogging-gods and starting a blog. Lord, help us all! I just figured it's a way to log neat things Madison is doing or that we have going on in our lives.
So Madison is 5 weeks and 3 days old now. She's more awake during the daytime (& sometimes night).
She follows our voices and faces more and more each day. Everynight she still sleeps in her bouncy chair beside our bed, but it keeps her happy so it works for us! She is finally out growing some of her newborn clothes, mostly by length but it's still fun getting out new clothes for her to wear. She has hiccups at least once a day, everyday.
As for the adults in the house- Chris took a long weekend at work, so we're enjoying some family time together. We did a little black Friday shopping in town and picked up a couple gifts. Today we're going to put up our Christmas tree and get it decorated. Hard to believe it's almost Christmas time. But I'm so excited to spend our first "family" Christmas together!
